Martin Aitken & Co, a firm of chartered accountants and business advisers based in Glasgow, has appointed Euan Ferries CA to lead their corporate advisory team.

Euan Ferries specialises in advising clients on acquisitions and sales, due diligence, business valuations and securing funding for expansion. With an extensive network within the SME funding community developed over a 20-year career, Euan also has a successful track record helping clients to source and secure grants.

Jayne Clifford, director and head of Martin Aitken & Co’s healthcare and dental practice team, said: “Euan’s appointment will complement that of the existing dental accounting, tax and advisory team. As a firm, we are seeing an increase in demand for advice from those looking to buy new practices and also from those looking to exit the profession as they near retirement. Euan’s experience in assisting with succession planning, as well as helping the new owners shape their business strategy adds another compelling dimension to our value proposition for dentists.”

And speaking about his appointment, Euan said: “I’m delighted to be joining MACO as they have a long established and respected reputation in Scotland. With the financing market continuing to be strong as we enter 2016, new banks entering the market and the continued growth in peer-to-peer lending, all of which is driving competition amongst funders and keeping prices down. It’s a good time for practice owners looking for external finance to fund their expansion plans.”
